The Western Australia Health District region of Murchison has an approximate area of 415,000 km².

It is comprised of the councils of Cue, Meekatharra, Mount Magnet, Murchison, Sandstone, Wiluna and Yalgoo.
It is surrounded by the health districts of East Pilbara, Eastern Wheatbelt, Gascoyne, Geraldton, Midwest, Northern Goldfields, West Pilbara and Western Wheatbelt.
It is within the state electorate of North West Central.
It is within the federal electorate of Durack.
