About Us

Sculpture at Bathers is a major free outdoor exhibition promoting Western Australian artists and sculpture as a distinctively special practice.

We strive to make sculpture accessible to a wide range of audiences and offer free artist-led tours, tactile tours, workshops and more. The historic coastal location in which the exhibition is held and our down to earth philosophy allow us to offer a different and very personal experience with the artists and their works.

Our events include school tours, Sunset Tours, Torchlight Tours, Artist-led Tours and Gourmet Tours! We have something for everyone.

Sculpture at Bathers is a not-for-profit organisation supporting Western Australian contemporary artists. The bi-annual free exhibition relies on the generosity of local sponsors and a dedicated team of volunteers. A distinctively Western Australian exhibition that showcases contemporary artists at Bathers Beach Fremantle and surrounds,  striving to make sculpture accessible to a wide range of audiences.

Artist range from early-career to established, from metropolitan-based to regional, and include several key Indigenous artists.  The selected artists were chosen through a curatorial panel and the artists who were selected are enthusiastic and dedicated to the exhibition. Overall they are a multicultural, gender diverse group representing the best in contemporary sculpture unique to this place and time.
