About Us
Investing In Our Youth offers two driving programs; End2End Young Driver Training and South West Regional Young Driver Education aimed at supporting our young people to obtain their licence and drive safely on our roads.
The End to End Young Driver Training program is designed to support 16-25 year olds in their journey to achieving their full licence, from end to end. This includes;
- driver education,
- obtaining the learners permit,
- building driving experience through formal driving lessons and the RYDE program,
- sit and pass the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) and Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) to achieve their P plates.
You will need to complete an application form and submit it to the Program Manager. There are limited places in this program so you must be fully committed to continuously participating in and completing all aspects of the program.
The RYDE Program provides young people the opportunity to complete their 50 hours of supervised driving experience with one of our volunteer ‘Driving Mentors’.
f you are having trouble getting your 50 log book hours contact a RYDE Provider and make an appointment to meet with a support worker. RYDE providers are local organisations that can assess and sign up learner drivers to the program. Only a RYDE Provider can set you up as a participant of the program.
