Latrobe Orchestra Inc.

The two orchestras have a long history in the Latrobe Valley beginning with the Yallourn orchestra and the Latrobe Orchestra merging under the directorship of Kath Teychenne in 1974.
Up until recently, two orchestras in the form of a junior orchrestra and a senior orchestra rehearsed on Thursday nights, called the Francis and Latrobe orchestras respectively.
Today, we rehearse as one orchestra that caters for beginner players and more accomplished musicians. We also have small string groups and woodwind ensembles.
