Participants who use our services generally have complex needs associated with mental health or a dual disability, intellectual disability, cognitive disability, neurodevelopmental disability, or psycho-social disability.

We support participants who are at risk of becoming involved or are involved with the Criminal Justice System due to their risky behaviours. We assist Criminal Justice and health services to support safe community reintegration.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) refers to accommodation for people who require specialist housing solutions, including to assist with the delivery of supports that cater for their extreme functional impairment or very high support needs.

At First Gen we aim to provide the best suitable accommodation that is tailored to individual needs to ensure comfort living. First Gen provides accommodation for different categories as defined by NDIS.

Living (SIL) on Demand

SIL on Demand

SIL on Demand reflects First Gen's ability to act safely and quickly to provide suitable accommodation and support staff to meet participants' needs. We achieve this by working directly with a selected group of landlords and property experts who understand NDIS needs.

First Gen supports our SIL participants to live independently to the best of their abilities in their own homes. 

First Gen has properties available that can suit various participants' needs.  This includes shared accommodation where appropriate or on their own. First Gen SIL on Demand focuses on developing the individual’s skills to help them live as independently as possible.

We can provide the full package of 24/7 support including:

• personal care, like showering and dressing

• cooking and eating

• cleaning

• shopping for groceries and personal items

• community participation

• Other individually designed in-home support packages]
