Leapfrog Therapy Services

Leapfrog Therapy was established 2007 by Amanda MacLean, Paediatric Occupational Therapist.  15 years on we are now well known for our practical approach to therapy, and our strong belief in working closely with parents and teachers to achieve common goals.  In addition to our community visits, our Melbourne Clinic opened up in North Balwyn in 2019.  Our clinics are filled with practical and accessible therapy items that can be replicated in families homes.

Our large, experienced team of therapists are specialists in Paediatrics, and have a passion for providing high quality therapy for children and their families.  We also work closely with the universities in Melbourne and Sydney, training student O.T's, and  finding the best graduates for our graduate programme. The team and clients love the energy, creativity and passion that our newest recruits bring to the team!

In 2018 Amanda relocated to Sydney with her family. She continues to commute regularly to Melbourne to support the team, and provide training to schools accross Victoria.  In 2019 she opened up a Sydney clinic, located in Hunters Hill, and a new team grew from there!  A telehealth service was also developed, so we now work with children, families and teachers in many parts of the world.

OUR SERVICES

At Leapfrog we know there's no 'one-size fit's all' approach to working with children and their families.  So we have lot's of different options for families to consider. Some of these services are working directly with the child, and some are working with parents/teachers using a coach approach.  We are able to conduct a range of standardised assessments for children aged 0-16 years, as well as more informal support through our drop-in clinic.  We recently established the fast track Assessment Clinic running every school holidays, which has significantly improved access to comprehensive assessments. 

Therapy can take place in one of our clinics, at the child's home, school/ preschool or using teletherapy. We set functional goals to help children develop in their areas of need. We also have a number of group programmes on offer.

At Leapfrog we believe strongly in using evidenced based practices.  Where possible we use cognitive approaches to help children problem solve through their areas of difficulty.
