About Us

A flat, scenic course starting behind UTas Stadium (home of AFL team Hawthorn's home games in Tasmania). The first kilometre is along the North Esk River flood levee past the entrance to Churchill park. Upon leaving the flood levee and entering the park, the course skirts around the outside of the sportsgrounds before turning left to take in a clockwise internal loop of scenic Heritage Forest and back to the Churchill Park sportsgrounds. The last kilometre returns around the outside of the sportsgrounds and back along the flood levee to the start/finish line. Facilities Getting There Location of startThe run starts behind UTas Stadium (home of AFL team Hawthorn's home games in Tasmania). Getting there by public transportUse bus numbers 2, 6, 7 or 10 departing from St John St depot E. Ask the driver for the bus stop closest to UTas Stadium. Getting there on footWalk/ride to Tamar St Bridge from Launceston CBD (approx 10 mins walk). If on a bike dismount and walk the Inveresk Boardwalk to the start line (approx 5 mins) Getting there by roadDrive to Inveresk Precinct car park or Roundhouse car park. If parking at Inveresk walk approx. 300m to the left. If parking at Roundhouse walk approx 300m to the right to start line. Post Run Coffee Every week we grab a post parkrun coffee at the Blue Cafe Bar - Restaurant. Please come and join us.
