parkrun - Riverway

We meet out the front of Tony Ireland Stadium for the Run Brief then head over toward the Riverway Arts Centre to start the run. Setting off we run around the Riverway Oval keeping the oval on the LEFT then heading towards the Itara Apartments where we run past the Amphitheatre and take a RIGHT turn running in front of the apartments, keeping the river on the left. Next, take a LEFT turn to follow the pathway toward the Vickers Bridge, go LEFT to cross over the bridge then another LEFT to head towards the Riverview Tavern. At the big turning circle in front of the Tavern head LEFT and cross over the Federation Footbridge towards the Weir School. After crossing the bridge head LEFT up the pathway and past the snake towards the playground where a marshal will point you down to the boardwalk along the river in front of the playground and pools. Head back towards the Amphitheatre keeping the river on your LEFT then a marshal will direct you to turn RIGHT after the Amphitheatre where you head STRAIGHT past the Riverway Oval and turn RIGHT to pass in front of the crickets nets heading back towards the stadium. Take a final RIGHT turn where you will see the finishing chute in front of the stadium. Facilities Parking: Car parking is available on site, with over 400 spaces available for public use. Getting there by public transportBus: Sunbus runs regular services along Riverway Drive and Ross River Road, and bus pickup is also available from Willows Shoppingtown. Getting there on footUnfortunately Riverway Lagoon is not easily reached on foot. Getting there by roadRiverway is accessible from Riverway Drive by turning into Village Boulevard at the traffic lights (the intersection of Riverway Drive, High Range Drive and Village Boulevard).
