iEye Low Vision Services

ieye low vision services is a new service provider which covers the following areas
Gold Coast, South Brisbane, Logan, Redlands Bay, Mount Tamborine, and Northern New South Wales. An outreach service will also be provided in the Rockhampton and Gladstone region.

Orientation and Mobility (O&M)

• Assessment and prescription of canes
• Long cane programs (individual and group)
• Cane refresher programs
• Indoor independent protective techniques
• Travel training
• Orientation of new or existing environment /area
• Echolocation
• Carer training
• Professional training and awareness
• Night training

Practical Daily Living Skills

• Pouring, peeling, chopping strategies
• Orientation to appliances (such as cooker)
• Cupboard management
• Colour contrast
• Task lighting

Social, recreational and community participation support

• Attending a social event or going for a walk
• Exercise sessions and gym classes
• Exploring our beautiful environment
• Attending blind bowls / swish days

• Holiday support
• Day visitors to the area for orientation / points of interest
• Travel days known as iExplore days
