St James Kindergarten

St James Lutheran Congregation originally purchased 12 Hectares in Urraween, Hervey Bay with the vision of providing quality Christian education to the community of Hervey Bay. In 2003 , St James Lutheran College began as a Prep to Year 7 school with only 68 students. In 2007, St James Lutheran Kindergarten was established. St James Kindergarten is co-located on College grounds. We offer a locally managed double unit Kindergarten, with support from QLECS. St James Kindergarten is in place to serve the needs of the local community. Currently, the Kindergarten is running 2 Kindergarten rooms with qualified teaching staff in each room. St James Lutheran Kindergarten is a double unit Kindergarten, operating 48 weeks of the year, with an overseeing Director. The Kindergarten offers 3 to 5 year old children with both a structured and play-based Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program. Our Kindergarten program is lead by qualified Early Childhood Teachers and Educators, who are committed to your child’s wellbeing and development, for 40 weeks of the year (term-times). We also offer a vacation care program during non-term times. Our Kindergarten is part of the St James Lutheran College Community and offers a safe, supportive and nurturing Christian learning environment. We are Government subsidy approved for Child Care Benefit and Child Care Rebate. We are very proud to be assessed as Exceeding in all 7 areas of the National Quality Standards.
