About Us

In 1926 the Ayr Surf Lifesaving Club opened its first clubhouse at Alva Beach. Ayr Surf Life Saving Club provides a patrolled swimming area to the Ayr community. People will learn public safety and physical fitness through doing activities such as going to Surf Carnivals, swimming, beach sprinting, boards and surfboats. Surf Life Saving has all disciplines covered. Skill or qualifications that can be obtained are Junior awareness certificate and Bronze medallion certificate.
