About Us

Autism Queensland (AQ) is the largest autism organisation in Queensland, dedicated to unlocking potential and creating opportunities for autistic people of all ages. With over 57 years of experience, AQ provides a range of specialist education, therapy, employment, and community services tailored to meet the diverse needs of autistic people, their families and the community.

As the state’s Peak Body for autism, we receive over 10,000 enquiries each year. We lead advocacy, innovation, and service delivery to ensure every autistic Queenslander has access to the support they need to thrive. We operate six specialised autism school campuses, and deliver distance education, a network of early childhood intervention and employment services, and a range of outreach and community initiatives.

At AQ, we believe in the power of inclusion and diversity. Our Advisory Committee ensures we remain informed of the issues most important to autistic Queenslanders and their families. Through our collaborations with national and state reference groups, including the Australian Advisory Board on Autism, Australian Autism Alliance, Queensland Disability Advisory Council, Autism CRC, and Autism Hub, we champion a world where autistic people are valued, empowered, and supported to live a life of participation, opportunity, and choice.
