Who can use this service?
Adults
To get free dental care you must have a Medicare card and be a Queensland resident. You must also have at least one of the following cards:
- Pensioner Concession Card issued by the Department of Veteran's Affairs
- Pensioner Concession Card issued by Centrelink
- Health Care Card
- Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
- Queensland Seniors Card.
Children
To get free dental care a child must have a Medicare card and be a Queensland resident or go to a Queensland school. They must also meet at least one of the following :
- aged 4 or older and hasn't completed year 10
- eligible for the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule
- have, or have their name listed as a dependant, on a Centrelink concession card.

How to access this service
Adult dental services are provided at Community Dental Clinics across Central Queensland. You do not require a referral to access this service.
Most child dental services are provided either at a dental van or clinic and are offered to schools at different times. Parents are notified by newsletter or letter when their child’s school is being offered dental services.
