About Us
Bega parkrun is a beautiful run that takes in vistas of the Bega river, Mumbulla Mountain, Black Range and beautiful diverse parkland. The run is a loop run with 2 turnaround points. Start on the gravel path near the old stables and head in a clockwise direction along the gravel path that follows the river near the end of this path you will go through bollards and just beyond is a concrete path. This is Tarraganda Road and you turn left on to the concrete path, go over Tarraganda Bridge and just after this is the first turnaround. Follow the path back and go over the Bega Anabranch Bridge follow the signs, turn right and go to the end of the concrete path. You then turn left on to a gravel path to go to the Bega River Reserve where there is a 2nd turnaround point. Return along same path to the finish. The course is undulating and there are two causeways to pass through. Facilities Lots of free parking. No need to cross any roads to get to event Getting There Location of startThe run starts on the gravel path near the old stables. Getting there by public transportNone Getting there on footFrom Bega Post Office it is an easy 1.4k walk - head east on Carp Street and turn left onto East street and follow concrete footpath to the end. This is where the event will start. Getting there by roadFrom Bega Post Office head east on Carp Street for 600m to end of road turn left onto East Street and travel north for 600m.
