About Us

Learner Licence Workshops

Learner Licence Workshops occur once a month, where a representative from the Department of Transport & Main Roads attends PCYC and runs a session for at risk youth & disadvantaged community members to help them gain a sound understanding of the road rules, what it takes to be a safe driver, and ultimately a Learners Licence.

Braking the Cycle

Braking the Cycle is our volunteer driver mentor program designed to support learner drivers without access to a supervisor or registered vehicle to complete their 100 logbook hours. The aim of the program is to provide young people with increased employment opportunities, community connection and driver education.

Participants are matched with a specific volunteer from our extensive and experienced driver mentor network. Mentors provide encouragement and help young people improve their self-esteem and develop positive road safety attitudes.

Participants need to have a current learner licence, be aged between 16-25 years and have completed 3 professional driving lessons.
