About Us

Home Assist Secure is a service for Queenslanders aged 60 years and over, or people of any age with a disability, which provides safety related information, basic modifications, home repairs, maintenance and security services, referrals and subsidised assistance to eligible clients who are unable to undertake or pay for critical maintenance services without assistance.

The Home Assist Secure program aims to provide clients with help to stay in their own homes as long as they choose.

Paul Taylor has been the Home Assist Secure Field Officer for over 10 years and has a vast knowledge of the specifications the program provides.  He can also refer and/or assist you with employing tradespeople to undertake repairs or modifications, or plan future work.

Eligibility

  • People who are 60 years and over; or of any age with a disability who are home owners; or live in private rental housing.

  • To receive subsidised assistance Consumers must be receiving an Australian Government allowance or payment.
