Front Doors are funded access points for community members with a focus on increasing access outside of existing services in the mental health system. Any person residing in the greater Cairns, Townsville, and Mackay regions, including rural areas, can access a Front Door. No referral is required.

Delivering community and outreach based mental health, wellbeing, allied health, aged care and disability services since 1993, at NWRH we have a large and diverse team of health care professionals to service the needs of communities in regional, rural and remote Australia. At NWRH we harness firm connections with more than 40 communities throughout Coastal Areas, North and West Queensland and the Gulf; relationships based on genuine understanding of local needs and cultural sensitivities. We pride ourselves on becoming a significant part of the communities in which we service; with majority of our teams living and working permanently in our rural and remote locations and harnessing practical hands on experience and an understanding of the hardships and challenges often faced by living remotely.
