Burleigh Lions

Most weeks of each month volunteers from our organisation man fundraising events such as sausage sizzles.  100% of the money raised is then passed on to local individuals, families, schools, research organisations (e.g. Cancer Research), other local and national charities involved in helping indigenous, homeless people and disadvantaged people (e.g. Hearing Dogs, Chord Blood), and international projects such as Sight First, Haiti Disaster etc.  In addition volunteers from our organisation participate in events run by other organisations such as Cancer Council, Red Cross etc to help them door knock and raise funds.  All assistance payments to individuals or other organisations are decided upon by the organisation based upon request and need.  Local individuals, families and schools generally have priority but not exclusivity.  Each month only sufficient amounts to cover forecast expenditure are kept and all other money is generally released into the community.For any Lions Matter ring above telephone number.

We Meet at The Burleigh Surf Club on 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm.  For catering etc please call the number above.  We would welcome a visit and would be happy to discuss your becoming a volunteer.
